One of the oldest Jewish ceremonies of this type is the Brit Mila ceremony for a newborn boy, normally celebrated on the eighth day after his birth.\u00a0 A more modest ceremony was created more recently by Jewish women for a newborn baby girl.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">Both ceremonies are observed within Reform communities in many varied ways, which allow the parents\u2019 involvement in the planning and shaping of the celebration.
